Save Japan

An all-girl Japanese Taiko Drumming group was performing in the Union Square subway station in NYC yesterday to raise money for the Tsunami and Earthquake victims in Japan.  You can't tell from this video, but the sound was truly amazing - the drumming reverberated throughout the whole station (which is HUGE in size) and a crowd of at least 120 people were behind me (I somehow managed to squeeze my way in for a good view).  This modern twist on a very traditional Japanese art form just shows how people and cultures constantly evolve in time...and check out the onlooker who decided to join in on the performance...
